Install a Replacement SSD

Tools needed

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Your Recovery USB

Safety first

  • Power off and unplug before opening.

Steps

  1. 1Identify the type: 2.5" SATA SSD (cable) or M.2 NVMe (slot on the motherboard).
  2. 2For 2.5": mount in a bay, connect SATA data + SATA power. For M.2: insert at an angle into the slot and secure with the small screw.
  3. 3Boot from your QuicklyFixPC Recovery USB to install or restore Windows.
  4. 4Follow the on-screen recovery steps to get back up and running.
